after beatles vs stones, which of those "originals" do you like best(and why)?
(yes I know about Buzzcocks, Dead Kennedys, Stiff Little fingers and all..but i think those are/were the most important.)

It's close but between the first and the second it is.

A very slight advantage for the Damned. Just seen 'em last month live.

I can't choose.

I love them all, in their own little ways.
And I do love Buzzcocks.

THE CLASH!!! Sex Pistols are great too but it's got to be The Clash cause of their musical diversity.

Yeah imho The Clash and The Damned are equally great because both had the balls to develop their own style away from the typical punkrock.
the reason why i choose the damned is the fact that they are still active and inspiring, their latest album Grave Disorder is probably their best since The Black Album
Ramones are great but i'm not always in the mood to listen to them.
Im going to see the sex pistols at Sziget festival in about a week, looking foward to it very much though its my least favourite on this list.

I voted for Sex Pistols out of that choice but my personal favourite band from this era are The Undertones, they may not be as 'important' as the ones listed by they certainly wrote amazing pop-punk songs

they were indeed very good
though they have some weak songs..
but hearing Pretty vacant and Anarchy In The UK live was worth it all

heres a small impression from the sziget festival

Johnny sang... but he's still around. How odd.
