Well a resounding draw it is....I haven't the heart to choose...even on the heads or tails...so I think we should agree that the accolade be split between them....and as Equator had the trophy last year, maybe it should sit on Never Turn Your Back On Mother Earth's mantlepiece for a bit!. |

Aargh! what a time to be absent! Still, if Annika & I had voted it would still be a tie. _________________ Good Cue Sign

How do we know you did not vote already, but you just want Equator to win so you are trying to cast a second vote :) _________________ Break the rules and make a fool out of me |

I think to vote again you'd need to delete your cookies on internet explorer. At least, that's how it worked on that ridiculous radio poll last year which lasted forever!

deleting cookies won't work here.
the poll results are put into a database that's on a server keeping track of each vote. The only way to cheat here is to get another account. _________________ "Somebody's been putting pineapple juice in my pineapple juice!"

Unless I cocked-up on the poll date thingy...even deleting cookies or getting another account shouldn't help in any shape or form...it is cut and dried.
Now ifs, buts and maybes are all pointless! we just have to accept...The result is...
...A DRAW!!!!
Two equally worthwhile winners...now can we just let them revel in their moment of glory! |

Hi Ian,
This is interesting - I'd always thought that the voices on the end of Equator was Russell multi-tracked.
When did Jim Bryant come into playing with Sparks? This is the first time I've ever heard about him. _________________ 'You'll be in the future if you don't do nothing foolish' - Ron Mael

I googled Jim Bryant(and he promptly had me arrested for the intrusion)....but believe it or not there is a conspiracy beyond belief going on here.
His very name has 9 letters, but if you add the word "God" to it you have 12...the exact number of the Apostles who were the followers of Jesus Christ, who according to such diverse tomes as 'The DaVinci Code' and 'Five On A Treasure Island' was married to Mary Magdelene, who by all accounts was a bit of a goer in her early days, but that aside Mary Magdelene has 13 letters in her name the exact same as the 12 apostles plus the 'Good Shepherd',which by the by has 12 letters ..the same as 'god jim bryant'...but as atheists don't believe in god(so we can subtract 3 to equal 9)...atheists like pop diva Mary J. Bint....which is a 9 lettered name and an anagram of Jim Bryant....AND....all the letters in bold print, with the exclusion of the letter "N" which is the first letter of Nazareth...where Jesus was from...(and a popular group from the 70's)...a coincidence...or something running deeper? |

In fact, Joseph Fluery revealed in Sparks Flashes #4 the extra vocals on "Equator" were by Babette DePaul. I think he referred to them as "chauvanistic breathies." |
