I’ve been wondering – how come that the guy from the song got to heaven? A siucide should’ve gone to hell! Oh lucky guy! ;)

Well I would suggest that technically that the protagonist(is that the correct description??)was murdered as he was tricked into the suicide by the devious Juliet..and therefore eligible for a free pass into Heaven.
(Thats without getting into the theological debate about suicides, the pros and cons..as it all depends on the veiwer's religious beliefs and whether or not you voted for George Galloway!!)
As to Tearing The Place Apart....being "dumped" isn't the most romantic of themes...perhaps we should start a poll as to the most "poignant" ....trouble is as far as I can discern...we've all been there done that...and the Bros. Mael know that!!

Perhaps you're right about Tearing the Place..., Alex. And I must say that I Married Myself which was mentioned more than once here is much of the same kind. A very sad and melancholic song, maybe even poignant... A wonderful one, in fact. :)

As for theological debate, I'm not into it at all. :D Was just wondering half-idly... ;)

And by the way! Isn't Here In Heaven itself a song about ehh... being turned down in a most cruel and perverted way?

Another one for me is When I'm With you

I remember a couple of ladies making me feel like that, and when the pressure was on - I definitely could not make up something special.

Surely, just a little.

Hard one...

When I'm With You
(Beautiful.)
Marry Me
(If I ever meet Ron, I'm going to sing it for him. He'll probably think I'm insane, but it's worth a shot, right?)
Here In Heaven
(I think it's sweet... He sings about me! My name is Julie(t) )
Young Girls
(Maybe not romantic, but it reminds me of myself and my romantic moments. I'm 18, but I only fall for men way past 40. And they think I'm a young girl.)

In no particular order....

I Married Myself
- beautiful song, yet very sad too

Angels
- heartbreakingly gorgeous, and Russell's voice - swoon!!!

Slowboat
- great song, recently discovered, one of my favourites

Let's Make Love
- another recent discovery, love it!

The Louvre
- that French accent, he could be singing anything and it would still sound romantic!
