We give our unadulterated and for ever love to the boys, but there is a song(s)each album that we skip through. After a week, I've decided it's 'Don't Dog It' from Mad !

From the beginning

Sparks.................... Saccharin and the War
Woofer...............Nothing is Sacred
Kimono .............none
Propaganda ......none
Indiscreet............Happy Hunting Ground
Big Beat................Nothing to do
Introducing....... Forever Young
No 1 in heaven............none
Terminal Jive............ all except WIWY
Whomp.............Suzie Safety
Angst...............Tarzan and Jane
In Outer Space........... Praying for a party
Pulling rabbits............ Sisters
MTYCDT................The Scene
Interior Design..............A walk down memory lane
GSASV............... I thought I told you to wait in the car
Balls................ Aereflot
Lil Beethoven.......... My baby's taking me home
HYL................Here kitty
ECOTD..............I can't believe that you would fall for
FFS......... most of it tbh
Hippopotamus............. Bummer
ASDDD......The existential threat
Latte............... Let's go dancing

@dinky, we feel similarly on maybe half, and exactly the same about a few (basically all of Terminal Jive, The Scene, Praying for a Party, and Here Kitty), but I laughed out loud when I saw that a significant number of your "skippers" are some of my favorite songs (Saccharin, Nothing to Do, Forever Young, A Walk Down Memory Lane, My Baby's Taking Me Home, Bummer, We Go Dancing, Don't Dog It). And that is the magic of Sparks.

I'll have to think about the whole discography later, but I know immediately that Lawnmower gets skipped every time I listen to ASDDD.

Most of the time I only skip bonus tracks at the end of an album, because there weren't meant to be there in the first place. I usually like to experience each album as a whole, even if I may not absolutely love each song, I see it as a kind of "tailor-made journey" I have to navigate through in order to really feel what the artist wanted me to feel.
I know it may sound a bit silly :)

The only Sparks bonus track I never skip is "Islington N1" on ECOTD, because it's one of my absolute favourites. This track definitely doesn't get all the praise it deserves.

That's not on the copy I have, wasn't it for people who'd bought a golden ticket that got them into every show ?

The song was especially written for that occasion, but you can get a studio version of it on the "Deluxe Edition" of ECOTD. I found it on Spotify.

Yet people gladly hand over their money for subsequent releases that contain tracks that didn't make the cut.

I wholeheartedly agree with enjoying a release as a total album experience. This has become tougher the last 15 years or so with nearly half an album being on streaming services before the actual album release.

Spotify has made it really easy to create your own playlist and eliminate all the skippers. I have a huge playlist of Sparks and some albums are poorly represented while others are nearly complete.

Like waterloosunset, I had a double-take at some of dinky's choices but - as said - that's the magic of Sparks.

I started my Sparks odyssey well before cds, let alone ipods or streaming, so skipping tracks wasn't a realistic option then, and that has probably shaped how I listen to albums since. (But like TGIT, bonus tracks may not get the same attention.)

The art of lifting a needle and placing it on the track you wanted was always bit hit and miss (and sometimes caused a scratch)

All my favorite songs were scratchy at the beginning because who has time to wait at 3AM?

Interesting how different we are, just to quote a few, KMH and Outer Space I don't listen to at all really, MBTMH I think with Rhythm Thief is the best track on LilB, similarly Existential Threat is one of the best tracks on ASDDD, Let's Go Dancing is really good, A Walk Down Memory Lane ditto. All imo of course!

I don't listen to Suburban Homeboy on Lil B

Exotic Creatures I substitute So Many Bridges for Morrissey.
