I'm posting this for Bryan as he is unsure how to set up a poll.

Oh yes.....a yearly midi CD would be a real treat - BUT only if it did not interfere with other projects i.e coming over here to perform a concert or two!!

Well that shouldn't be too hard then...they could just knock out 4 midi discs(5 if they aren't too busy).
Regarding...coming over here for a concert or two...I don't like being the sand in the vaseline, but if we are honest...do we not think a big(ish) tour of the USA is overdue???We have been fairly blessed in London & Stockholm over the past few years!!

Thank you , Alex, I was just about to say something to that effect. You folks have all the Sparks luck, I swear. Of course there could be way more Sparks fans there too, but speaking of Sparks how 'bout some US dates for us to get sparked up about? My life could do with some sparking excitement! (sand in the vaseline?!)

Fair point but we do need a UK tour as well (I know, I am being selfish here so please forgive me).

Sand in the vaseline!!!! - brings tears to my eyes :-)

Some people may say it`s sacriligious, but a few remixes wouldn`t go amiss......maybe not quite to the extent of My Way & Charlie Parker although a couple of those were very good in my opinion, can`t quite remember which though there were that many... lol

It`s quite strange to hear what other peoples take on a song is sometimes.

A US tour would be nice!

Even if only 3 or 4 - I'll take them,so would many other US fans. Like I have mentioned before, in California there were several East coast fans - a 5 1/2 hour flight to get there, and from Texas - people from all over traveled because that was the only chance to see Sparks on our soil.

Now to vote... :)

I believe the question was......

Do you think it would be a good idea if Sparks released a mini CD once a year inbetween Albums....

Previews, Mixes, Samplers, Unreleased stuff......anything.....

Just to keep us lot quiet, I think :-)

?

the original question was....it would be nice if sparks would release an annual cd on lil beethoven records.(perhaps every xmas)with anything from rarities to songs that wopuld never see the light of day!!!!!..nothing at all to do with "hello young lovers", and this would be offered to SPARKS FANS ONLY!!!!!!! AND NOT FOR GENERAL RELEASE!!!, AKINDA THANKYOU TO US ANNUALLY FOR SUPPORTING SPARKS!!!!!!

It wouldn`t necessarily have to be a cd......it theoretically could be distributed digitally, especially these days.

I used to get a specialised music magazine with written articles, music and other stuff on a floppy every 3 months...with contributions from other members of the group.

that was years ago, hence floppy distribution by post....but it happened none the less.

ANY FORMAT WOULD IM SURE BE GREATLY RECEIVED.......!!!!, AS AUKE SAID THEY HAVE A VAST BACK CATALOGUE AND IT IS A GOOD IDEA...ONCE A YEAR DISTRUBUTING TO FANS, WHICH WILL HAVE NO AFFECT ON THEIR CURRENT VENTURES...... IF THE THEY PRODUCED ONE NOW....AND SOLD THESE AT THE NEXT "HELLO YOUNG LOVERS CONCERTS" EVEN ...IM SURE THEY WOULD EASY SELL A COUPLE OF 1,000s .....AT LEAST !!!!! THIS IS EASY MONEY TO BE MADE !!!!!!!
...AND IF THE MAELS ARE BUSY PROMOTING THE NEW CD AND TOO BUSY ...EMPLOY SOMEONE TO ORGANISE THIS PROJECT...THIS WOULD BE GOOD NEW FOR US AND THEM.......COME ON GUYS..YOU KNOW IT MAKE SENCE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree with Bryan on this. There is some money to be made here and will certainly keep Ron and Russell well fed for years to come - and for us, we get the music that we all crave for.
