Strange day,Had nearly everything topped off with an almighty thunderstorm that had massive hailstones in it that left the ground white like a Christmas scene for a few minutes.

We had it too ( except for the hailstones ) the sky turned as dark as night and the rain was coming down like a gigantic hosepipe had been turned on. Then today lovely sunny and bright if a tad cooler than of late !

16 C, these clouds were supposed to bring much needed rain but we only got a brief drizzle so far.

Heavy rain all day, only stopped at 4pm. I was worried my back yard was going to flood.

I hope that's not a sign for a bad winter

A nice sunny (but a bit chilly) day here in Paris. After many days of rain, it feels great!

When I come out of the gym, the sun was up and I felt all “Howard Keel” it was so lovely!

Don’t worry gentle reader, I didn’t burst into any Richard Rodgers songs though, I wouldn’t inflict that on an innocent world! 😜

Ditto here Pete, been on all night couldn’t do my customary walk to the library today. So after gym I had breakfast at home, walked the dog ( in a brief let up) and settled down… then there are blue skies but always with that imminent threat of another downpour on the way.

15 C here, clear skies but the wind's knocking down acorns and autumn leaves. Most people I've talked to locally have been busy tidying yards and gardens and/or cutting firewood; if we don't get frost tonight we certainly will within the next week.

Spoke too soon…got out of library and there was a heavy persistent drizzle walked through town then jumped a cab home as I wasn’t suitably dressed against the rain.
