Doors open at 6pm. Support act should be on around 6.30. There is a strict 10pm curfew as the venue are having a club night afterwards.
Seemingly sold out
2 places to eat just opposite. Manchester Oxford Road is the nearest train station. _________________ www.britbitsandclips.com

Great night! Everyone I saw was rocking their socks off! very wide age range of sparks fans was evidenced. The band were awesome. Sparks seem to draw exceptional musicians like a magnet than can only pick up gold. Loved the heavy rock rendering of ... No spoilers... Handsome Russell relished the larger stage, springing about everywhere, desperate to gaze at every corner of his vast adoring audience graciously. Incessant cheering from the crowd delayed the duo's return to the dressing room, both looking spellbound, humbled with such boundless displays of appreciation.
Ended up in a nightclub playing sparks. Dance floor filled to no1 in heaven, Edith Piaf said it better than me, when do l get to sing my way and even this town ain't big enough for both of us, supposedly legendary for being unable to dance to. Dj even got a round of applause. |

My knees are aching this morning from pogoing so much. Russell has nearly 6 years on me, how does he do it?
A really rocking show.
I have never seen them linger on stage so long to acknowledge applause. Russell made a few remarks about this should inspire Ron to write more songs. Were they thinking of retiring from touring but the reception to Hippo has made them think again?
Who knows.
Third time John has seen them after the Barbican Kimono 40th and 6music in Glasgow. Said it's one of the best gigs he's been to and is a convert. Result! _________________ www.britbitsandclips.com

Teleman at the FFS gig at the Troxy weren't half bad but Goodnite last night was more like badshite! |
Goodnite then went on to play keyboards for Sparks.
Had some interesting lyrics for sure |

Wow! I can't imagine going to a club where they play lots of Sparks records! I'd love that. _________________ Gonna hang myself from my family tree. |

The crowd were amazing and the atmosphere was absolutely electric.I thought when FFS played in Manchester a couple of years ago it was great but this surpassed it.The sheer outpouring of love for Sparks in the place was lovely to be a part of .You could see the band were taken back with the magic in the air.Sparks in Manchester is always fantastic and that's coming from a Leeds United supporter.Loving this rocking band and loved the set list.Of course Russell is still the guv'nor and Ron has done it again with this wonderful album. The 2002 Beethoven onwards and upwards curve is still rising.Saw them in Newcastle and Nottingham and they were great but Manchester took the biscuit for me.Probably the best Sparks gig I have seen. |
