The MM guys are great. The backing vox are gonna be killer. Nistor is a monster drummer. I believe QOTSA have been in the studio recently with Summer gigs coming up. Could be why they've got an extra guitarist in case Michael can't make it. 2 keyboards makes sense. This sounds VERY promising.

YES - The Mini Mansions guys are great. I'm actually stunned and amazed, really bowled over, they've got guys of that quality to play with them.

Indeed, musicians from bands well regarded as hot live acts are to welcomed in excited expectation.

Defiantly Russell still strikes as a sprite from the fountain of youth, more playful than the demographically favourable accompaniment. Ron looks almost as old as he's always aspired to be, as if carved from a flawlessly beautiful Grecian statue into a medieval grimacing gargoyle, yet with the sparkle still shining through. And being carved in stone is arguably how all of his poetic lyrics should eventually end up.

For the hippo concerts, anticipated for the much loved Mr Nistor is a MAMMOTH cheer from us fans, who owe so much to his versatile brilliance and indefatigable commitment!

I had no idea (or forgot) that Sparks performed Sherlock Holmes and Angst on stage with Mini Mansions back in 2015.

I'm not against Sparks + Gleaming Spires (Bates Motel) pt. II.

It appears Mini Mansions were destined to be on the Hippopotamus tour.

From the song, Majik Marker
Got a spider underneath my bed
I got a paper centipede eating up my head
All the girls at my school are ventriloquists, tricky dicky hippopotamus
Monkey vampires, mini shampoos, paranormal peaches hanging over you
Put your face on the dash and let’s go for a ride, don’t even tell your mother

Doubling up on the Keyboards and Guitars.. Wonder what happened to Dean Menta...? Maybe Mini Mansions came as a package deal .. Like a few of the songs they did on "the great pretender"..

I think he has other work not to mention his family and cant tour.
The mini mansions i saw only one time live but liked very much, obviously Shuman is the big name but this keyboardist guy struck me as a very creative driving force. I have the idea that in the ffs time nick and ron were starting to work well and maybe now there can be a similar deal.
Yes also for Steve Nistor a big cheer for sure he is also a very intelligent and accomplished musician in my impression.
