I was a little nervous after the 2 shows I viewed during the Sparks Spectacular but this was perfect!! Great quality and it didn't buffer once. :-) Bring on Monday. You can see FFS are getting more polished with each live performance. |

I am just blown away ...
over the Taunus mountains, Westerwald, where I was born,
to Cologne where I grew up and to see FFS on Wednesday
(sorry for this...) |

Wow! This is stunning in every respect. Arte TV is superb.
The band are even more perfect, and exciting, as I remember. The crowd are awesome.
Thanks for sourcing so much brilliant material, Peter!
Westerwald looks beautiful (per the pictures on the web)! |

To anyone who might have missed the tonight's FFS Bataclan Paris concert or were unable to record: I got it completely in High Definition: use Firefox as your browser with the "Ant.com Video Downloader" plugin, surf to
http://concert.arte.tv/fr/franz-ferdinand-sparks-au-bataclan
and you can start downloading (approx 1.5 Gb).
Hope (anyhow) they will play a bit longer next week in Amsterdam, this was just about 75 minutes (OK, longer than the Beatles ever did but last Paul McCartney's concert lasted for 3 hours) but this might have something to do with the ARTE broadcast/recording (I guess/hope). |

Let the good times roll.! Excellent gig and really well filmed. Collaborations as the final was excellent. Russell & Alex seem to be having a Ball.. Can not recall any crowd surfing at any Sparks gigs before either. Its all good. _________________ I Think that went very Well |

Loved the 2 tracks they did in France on the Journal programme the evening before this show-especially Police Encounters. The crowd last night for this wonderful ARTE TV gig were really up for it.Guitarist bit of crowd surfing to boot. The band getting better and better each gig, peaking nicely for Glastonbury. What a wonderful exciting time it is to be a FFS fan. This band are totally gonna blow that large tent apart on Sunday night at Glastonbury.Love the way they have been funking up My Way and Call Girl.Michael is brilliant too. I can't believe how lucky we all are to witness this coming together. |

Loved the gig. They seem so happy on stage . There 's this aura of relief coming from Ron in the recent interviews . Like he's finally found his dream band. |
