Eddy..you say it sticks close to the original...is that the single version or the much (IMO)better rockier version?(I think the album Desolation Boulevard has the "better" version on it)

Well i only know the radio-version of the song so i have no idea of which album that is off.

It's a little more rockier than the Sweet version i know.

on Ace frehley's website you can listen to it for free!

Shot By Both Sides - Magazine 9/10

It was great to see Magazine performing their 1978 UK Top 41 hit on BBC2: Later Live...with Jools Holland on Tuesday. So I shall watch the extended edition on Friday, to see if they do anything else.

NB. The Friday repeat is not just extra songs added to the live show from Tuesday; there are songs in the Tuesday show which are not in the Friday show, and vice verse, so you need to watch both shows to see all the songs.

Ok... this is blatant self-advertisement but I'll swallow my shame and do it anyway.

http://svtplay.se/v/1725659/036_en_kvarglomd_melodi

Thus, I am listening to myself bringing my own brand of insanity to the public via the Swedish Television Eurovision Song Contest tryouts.

The song is named "En kvarglömd melodi" which translates roughly as "A melody that was left behind", and the lyrics tell of a melody that lingers after the band has packed their instruments and gone home, even though the radio batteries are dead and the stage lights are out. I was very much inspired by "A Song That Sings Itself" when I wrote it so there is a Sparks connection. And it's in Swedish, too.

I wish the rest of the new album was as good as this, she sure gets it right at times.

Second Coming - The Stone Roses

Not as revered as their eponymous debut album but a damned good listen all the same.

7½ / 10

I'm On Fire - Springsteen (office radio)

6/10
Nice song, but I'd like to think that a song with the title 'I'm On Fire' would be a bit more manic. If I was on fire I'd be thrashing and screaming the place down rather than humming along gently explaining "Hmmm mmm mmm - I'm on fire"
