Sparks Guide Book - The Ultimate Guide is now available to buy on the Sparks Mart.

This is the first ever Sparks book and this first edition is available for a limited time only! The book includes an exclusive poster, a CD of the Steve Jones interview, an introduction by Sonic Youth's Jim O'Rourke, previously unpublished photos, interviews with Ron and Russell, full and comprehensive discography and so much more!

Written by Yuichi Kishino in both Janpanese and English, the guide book was released in Japan to coincide with the 2006 live dates in Tokyo and Kyoto. As mentioned above the book is available for a short time only due to stock limitations!

Will the book only be available on SparksMart or will it go on sale in music stores later this year?

Do you have to be a member of the SparksMart to buy things?

Half of the Japanesse isn't even translated...nice photos and other stuff, but a complete rip off.

I'd say ,Yes...I think it's a cracking little keepsake(mind you I wonder if there's a Japanese fellow somewhere saying,"Half the english isn't even translated!"??)..I've bought a Japanese phrasebook(£1.99 from WH Smith's) and am halfway through my own translating..but truth be told it's not going very well...halfway through page 56..the phrase "Whale mystique capers decent grey fright" can't be right....can it???

If you need help with the translations in this book try:

http://babelfish.altavista.com/

A scanner will certainly help.

I like the book, the contents etc - but if had seen it before I bought it I don't think I would've bought it. 28 euros is a lot of money for such a small booklet.

I think putting 'a complete rip off' is very unfair...Since this is the only book ever that has been done about Sparks and that it also includes a poster and CD, I lose the will to live at times with people moaning on here.....There's just no pleasing some people....

Thanks "LightsOut".

What something is worth is what people in general are willing to pay for it. Since this is a rare item, considering all that comes the book, I think it a great value for and Sparks' fan.

I had to buy a plane ticket, fly for hours, pay for a hotel and food out just to see a live Sparks concert. Was it worth it? Yes! And I would do it again. Wait! I already did. lol

Bottom line- y'all buy the book, while you can. As long time Sparks supporters know, these items will not be around for easy purchasing forever.
