Wow Kaelmael, l think the highlight of any concert should be hanging onto the guitarists ankle! I bought their last cd which l really like but l shall listen in future with a whole new appreciation of your bravery.. Well done for surviving! |

Thanks, Crabby. I was slightly regretting about attending the show tbh, but your comment made me feel a whole lot better about it. TANGK is a great album! _________________ My resume is dull and it's gray |

Well, I had had a similar experience at Morrissey concert but anyway, I cursed myself for being foolish. As soon as the first song started, I was pushed and shoved like a punchbag. For about an hour or so I had to go through a thousand elbows in my ribs and occasional boots in the head. At one point, I was holding guitarist Lee Kiernan's ankle. A pure chaos I wasn't prepared for. Yet, I survived to tell the tale. But not without heavy bruises. |

My worst (and last) mosh pit experience was actually at a They Might Be Giants concert. Good show from the band, but security really should have tossed that one probably drunk and definitely disorderly guy. It was decades ago and I suspect security's more proactive nowadays; nonetheless, by now I'm Too Old For The Pit. |

Maybe it was worth the bruises. I could even grab the hem of the lead guitarist Marc Bowen's pink dress. I'm 100% sure that this will be my last mosh pit story though! _________________ My resume is dull and it's gray |

The 2022 show at Royal Oak (outside Detroit) had GA standing in front of the stage. Other than some rude people trying to muscle their way up front without paying the premium for early admission or waiting in line in frigid conditions for a few hours...it was pretty well behaved.
There was no moshing per say, just bopping. _________________ Billy, Don't Be A Porter |

What Buckeye Randy said applies to all the Sparks concerts I attended. I always have a good time dancing and singing along. No rowdy crowd.
I guess the most unruly audience they ever had were those girls trying to pull Russell off the stage. _________________ My resume is dull and it's gray |

Every gig I’ve ever been at has been so full of camaraderie and bonhomie that there’s been no room for unruliness.
There was one brief bit of an incident at an FFS gig, an over exuberant drunk , instead of apologising to the lady he almost sent flying he decided to confront her husband. He was very swiftly dealt with and without recourse to fisticuffs or an escalation of the situation.
So to put your mind at rest everyone is friendly and welcoming with fans old and new mingling like they’d known each other forever! |

The person who accompanied me to see Sparks in 2022 called it a bit reminiscent of the classical music concerts I also like to attend; that may have partly been inspired by the theater that hosted Sparks' Boston show, but also shows further concurrence that unruliness at Sparks shows is apparently a thing of the past (but friendly chat among fans before the show whether we've met before or not, as Alex noted, is present.) |

Oh no,now I'm sorry l asked.....l had a feeling a Sparks concert would ooze friendliness and good humour so now I'm even more sad that l probably won't make it to any of the 2025 concerts.......
Never mind..love the single and waiting for the summer! |

It's true, it's exactly the way I felt the first time I saw Sparks live. I came by myself and yet I had so many friendly conversations with different people during and after the show.
Maybe next time I'll consider organizing some kind of meetup with other French fans beforehand, though. |

That's just about enough out of you, Miss I've Got Tix for Sparks. You had your chance for Alice!
The setlist he's played so far on this tour (including Paris) follows the usual recipe. As always, he mixes in some seldom heard chestnuts along with an assortment of his classic work from the '70's. The typical setlist this tour; 14 tracks from the '70's, four each from the 80's and 90's along with one from his last album in 2023. A quick count tells me eight songs different from last seeing him in 2022. This is so different than say Grand Funk Railroad whom I've seen play essentially the same setlist three times spanning 25 years.
Alice will be taking a two month break starting in a few days before resuming the tour in May. Who knows if the setlist will resemble what he's been playing so far on the 'Too Close for Comfort!' tour but I'm hoping it is. _________________ Billy, Don't Be A Porter |
