Well, it looks like we have a newer version of phpBB now and it seems to have fixed the small font problem, even in Safari. So thanks Tech Support.
I don't like this blue & white colour scheme though. Can you change it back to the black & gold scheme please? _________________ Gonna hang myself from my family tree. |

I refer the learned gentleman to my previous post. |
Safari takes the code seriously, IE for example is more fault-tolerant, I read.
I also prefer the new & more ergonomic dark on bright text design. (Before I somehow had the feeling of being in a crypt.)
{Thanks, Sue.} |

As i stands now... it works fine and fast. Thanx to whomever got to it!
Tried it on different (XP) machines and Firefox, IE, Safari, Opera en Chrome all work fine for the forum pages.
PS Safari-folks might think it is the best but it's no public secret that Opera is consired the one to be most true to the standards set by the industry. Okay i will admit it is my favourite even if i use IE6 & 8 and Firefox 3.5 (beta) most of the time. Chrome is in my experience the fastest, once 2.0 version becomes stable i might use that one at home, at work we will go use Firefox 3.5/3.6 as soon as those are stable. _________________ "Somebody's been putting pineapple juice in my pineapple juice!"

So it has all went back to the "old style" forum..and is everybody happy??Well the old maxim about not being able to please all of the people all of the time rings true....but it shows that complaints are dealt with to the best compromise as quickly as possible...so a few more thank-you's in the right direction would perhaps be in order.
PS I was quite happy with the black set-up....but I'm not complaining. |

I don't suppose it really matters, but I did prefer the black/yellow/white colour scheme, and it went well with the colour scheme of the home page. No doubt we'll get used to this scheme after a while. _________________ Gonna hang myself from my family tree. |

I agree with you.
Now I wonder if there will be a chance to preserve at least some of the old threads. Usually, forums have an "old forum" or "archived old topics" section; here, a lot of threads are deleted after a while. Music Only - 2003...2008; General Sparks Discussion - 2004...2008. Sparks Polls was luckier :) _________________ Entertainment or art - one should know from the start |

I don't think changing the theme-clours has any effect on the data store of topics etc, i would assume this to be in different databases.
i think in the past somebody just felt like trimming the data stored to have less network traffic for the server and maybe make it a bit faster or at least keep the back-ups within certain limits.
A few new emoticons would be nice too! or are those called Sparkticons of iMaelicons :-)
maybe a game/contest to design new one? There are a couple of nice and easy programma's to help out. _________________ "Somebody's been putting pineapple juice in my pineapple juice!"
